The primary purpose of this nonexempt (hourly) position is to assemble, test, repair, perform maintenance of MC2000 machines, and to troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum machine performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Review Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) paperwork daily; Unpack, sort and record all necessary information (e.g., model numbers, parts number, customer information) on RMA paperwork.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on customer equipment; Document all necessary repair information (e.g., parts used, labor hours) on RMA paperwork; Respond to service calls at customer facilities when required.
  • Assist in the preparation of new machine orders; Review sales order and gather needed equipment and parts; Record order information on the Shipping Checklist and complete required items (e.g., assemble spare parts kits, put stickers on FRL tags, prepare training disks). Inspect and test machine, package and send to Shipping.
  • Assist with custom machine builds; Review engineering drafts, electrical schematics and component layouts; Assemble components to specification.
  • Operate basic hand tools, power tools, drill press and bench grinder as needed.
  • Track, repair and perform maintenance on reserve equipment as needed for customer demonstrations or backups.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What you need to be successful:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • May be required to participate in safety training and/or certifications provided by the Company or customers.
  • Valid driver’s license, as employee may be required to travel as needed.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing setting.
  • One (1) years’ experience working with lasers preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Incumbent will be required to use a computer with keyboard, telephone or handheld mobile device for extended periods of time, and office machinery as needed. 
  • Individual will be required to use basic hand tools and power tools on occasion.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Individual will be required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally, and/or up to twenty (20) pounds frequently, and/or up to ten (10) pounds constantly.
  • Work involves occasional exposure to unpleasant elements, such as fumes, loud noises, etc.
  • Incumbent must be able to read, see, hear, and speak.


Workdays and Shifts

Position works Monday – Friday, daylight hours, and additional time as needed to complete work.
