The primary purpose of this exempt (salaried) position is to achieve positive sales opportunities with new and existing accounts by professionally and effectively communicating with both potential and established clients, to maintain and grow revenue.

  • Pursue new sales opportunities with potential and existing clients via telephone.
  • Analyze and determine client needs, and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Route all sales orders to Customer Service team for processing.
  • Route all quality issues to the Customer Service team, ensuring that all pertinent information is documented.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, competitive activity, and other general information of interest to clients.
  • Recommend changes in services and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, researching industry trends, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • May attend tradeshows.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • May be required to participate in safety training and/or certifications provided by the Company or customers.
  • Valid driver’s license, as employee may be required to travel as needed.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience with an emphasis on customer relations, preferably in a specialized manufacturing setting.
  • Two (2) plus years of experience in prospecting and selling capital equipment is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (or a similar CRM) is a plus, as well as Microsoft office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Workdays and Shifts

Position works Monday – Friday, daylight hours (8AM-5PM), and additional time as needed to complete work. Position is a remote role for someone located in the Pittsburgh / Western Pennsylvania region with occasional need to come to the office. Initial training will be onsite for approximately two weeks.
