Inventory Control Manager

Reimagine your inventory control management career in a vital role where you will manage all aspects of inventory management, production control, and shipping/receiving. The ideal candidate will thrive in MECCO’s manufacturing environment supporting and leading the management of our laser and dot peen inventory and purchasing of components.  

To be successful in this role, you should be able to: work well with a team, show strong leadership skills, possess strategic planning talent with tactical focus, progress your knowledge of industry trends and customer business flow, and continue to analyze new supply chain/inventorysolutions and process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring a working knowledge of Infor CloudSuite Industrial ERP system.

What will I do?

  • Coordinate with Operations to establish the production schedule to ensure the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between or within departments
  • Provide ongoing team leadership to include training, hiring, quality and performance, etc.
  • Administer and oversee standards and procedures for the Supply Chain Department
  • Generate and analyze ERP reports to monitor supply chain activities
  • Develop sales forecasts in the ERP system that will drive material planning
  • Perform monthly SIOP and strategic planning
  • Facilitate daily cycle count schedule planning and completion
  • Oversee supplier development and build strategic and preferred supplier programs
  • Ensure optimum ERP data management
  • Continually strive to meet or exceed department goals including managing the cost savings program or exceed department goals including managing the cost savings program

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management or Business Management
  • Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in Inventory Control or Supply Chain Management; APICS Certification is a plus
  • Supervisory experience and strong leadership ability is strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Infor CloudSuite Industrial ERP system
  • Self-starter with a drive for process improvement with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and negotiation abilityProven detail
